Automation technician (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Implementation of the process control engineering task in a team of engineers, and supervision of the entire project duration from the study phase to commissioning as well as taking over the process control engineering planning
  • Taking on (sub-) projects and working with different project teams
  • Coordination of the specialist departments involved as well as internal and external interface coordination
  • Project planning in automation systems and the associated operating and monitoring level in the TIA Portal (desirable: PCS7) and WinCC based on process descriptions
  • Specification and selection of PLT components
  • Support with the commissioning of control systems and components for our process engineering systems
  • Fault clearance, weak point analysis and advice for operators and technicians on all technical and conceptual issues as an expert in automation technology
  • Creation, review and consolidation of technical documents and documentation

Your profile

  • A successful academic degree in electrical engineering / automation technology (Diploma, Bachelor or Master) 
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the automation of systems in the process industry
  • Ideally initial experience with TIA Portal (desirable: PCS7) and WinCC in industry  
  • Good knowledge of measurement technology, sensor technology, industrial bus systems and network technology 
  • Experience in dealing with R&I and electrical diagrams
  • Good IT skills (MS Office package, Outlook and Microsoft Visio)
  • Very good German language skills. Good written and spoken English skills are an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure
