Today, at Cleantech for Europe Summit 2024, INERATEC announced that they are joining the Cleantech Scaleup Coalition alongside ten other cleantech innovators.

The Cleantech Scale-Up Coalition, now 22 members strong, convenes Europe’s most promising cleantech scaleups. Collectively, the coalition represents the next generation of European clean industry.

"We are very excited to join the Cleantech for Europe coalition today. This is a trailblazing group of cleantech leaders shaping the future of European competitiveness in line with 2030 climate goals. We are grateful for the opportunity to join the efforts of Cleantech for Europe in creating the next generation of climate and industrial leaders.“ Caspar Schuchmann, CFO

INERATEC joins this coalition of innovators at a crucial juncture for Europe. With a new political cycle beginning, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has vowed to make Europe “the home of cleantech” and announced the launch of a ‘Clean Industrial Deal’.

„We are thrilled to see INERATEC joining the Cleantech Scale-up Coalition. Cleantech for Europe Summit proved the cleantech industry stands ready to power Europe’s competitiveness, but we urgently need a comprehensive industrial, competition, and trade policy to match our global peers. The Scale-up Coalition plays a vital role to equip policymakers with experiences from the field and inform Europe’s strategy.” Jules Besnainou, Executive Director, Cleantech for Europe

The full list of companies joining the coalition alongside INERATEC are:

Battolyser (Netherlands) Rega Energy Group (Portugal)
Baseload Capital (Sweden) Heart Aerospace (Sweden)
cylib (Germany) Atlas Agro (Switzerland)
Climeworks (Switzerland) Genvia (France)
Electra Charging (France) Néolithe (France)

While Europe is well-equipped to finance new technologies at the early stages, both public and private capital are lacking when it comes to industrialising these technologies at climate-relevant scale. Cleantech for Europe – working closely with its Investor and Scale-up Coalitions – advocates for ambitious industrial and trade policies to match other global economies, with the aim of ushering in a new era of European competitiveness and prosperity.

About Cleantech for Europe:

Launched in 2021, Cleantech for Europe represents the trailblazers developing, deploying and investing in clean technologies across the EU. Additionally, Cleantech for Europe spearheads the work of a broader ecosystem of national and regional initiatives, focused on the needs of cleantech communities across the EU. This includes regional cleantech initiatives in the Baltics, France, Germany, the Iberian Peninsula, Italy, the Nordics and the UK.
