INERATEC is a winner of the German Sustainability Award, in the subcategory Next Economy Award! The German Sustainability Award honors founders who actively contribute to a more sustainable economy with their innovative business models.

From the very beginning, this has been and remains INERATEC’s mission: With our power-to-liquid plants, we produce e-fuels from CO2 and hydrogen that can serve as a sustainable substitute for fossil fuels. Our goal is to make transportation more climate-friendly and to play an active role in shaping the energy transition.

The jury of the Next Economy Award justifies the nomination with the versatile application possibilities and the defossilization potential:

“The innovative reactors of INERATEC GmbH enable the use of the so-called Power-to-X and Gas-to-liquid processes for the first time on a renewable scale. The chemical plants can be used to produce e-kerosene, CO₂-neutral gasoline, climate-friendly diesel or synthetic wax using hydrogen from renewable electricity and greenhouse gas such as CO₂.

These e-fuels and e-products are especially necessary for the chemical and aviation sectors, which will rely on hydrocarbons in the long term. e-kerosene and synthetic wax are essential to defossilizing these industries, which are among the largest emitters of CO₂, for climate neutrality.”
