Permission granted: building and operating our pioneer plant
INERATEC receives the "BImSchG" approval for the pioneer project in Frankfurt. This is the first approval of this kind for an e-Fuel plant in Germany.
But what does "BImSchG" stand for and what does the permit mean for INERATEC's e-Fuel plant?
"BImSchG" is the abbreviation for the Federal Immission Control Act, or the "Act for the protection against harmful effects on the environment caused by air pollution, noise, vibrations and similar processes". Above a certain size, plants that are built in Germany are strictly checked beforehand for any environmental impact and must obtain such a permit. Accordingly, INERATEC described the plant in detail in its permit application, with a particular focus on the impact on the environment: From basics such as the input and output of the plant, to all noise emissions, waste, exhaust gases, waste water, to the safety consideration of the plant as well as concepts for occupational safety and fire protection. This information is then strictly checked by the authorities, with critical questions and, if necessary, additional requirements for the realization.
This approval therefore gives us the GO from the authorities that our pioneering plant may be built and operated as planned. This confirms that the production of our e-fuels does not generate any environmentally harmful noise, exhaust gases or waste. This is another important step in our mission to drive eFuel production forward and actively contribute to a more sustainable future. Join us on this journey and don't miss any more updates:
