Two solutions
E-fuels vs. hydrogen
Hydrogen and e-fuels are both capable of enabling CO2-neutral mobility. While hydrogen powers fuel cell vehicles, e-fuels can be used in conventional combustion engines, which means that existing infrastructure and vehicle fleets can be used.
The transportation infrastructure for hydrogen is not yet as developed as that for e-fuels. In addition, the production of e-fuels can use renewable energies such as wind or solar energy and thus make an important contribution to the energy transition.
